Dr. Justin Belanger is excited to become the new owner of Center For Health (CFH). His mission is to continue providing optimal care to the patient’s of CFH and looks forward to becoming part of a very special community. His expertise and knowledge in neural musculoskeletal conditions, kinesiology, nutrition and rehabilitation, as well as additional experiences in strength and conditioning and personal injury will be a contribution to established and new patients of CFH. Dr. Belanger began his career in healthcare as a strength and conditioning specialist. During his tenure, he learned how to optimize an individual’s performance on a relative and absolute scale. His population was diverse, spanning from individuals with complex past medical histories and comorbidities to elite level athletes. He enjoys the opportunity to provide care to others in order for them to achieve their short and long term goals. Dr. Belanger graduated from the Sacred Heart University 2012 with a Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science with an emphasis in biomechanics, exercise physiology, sport psychology and clinical sciences. During this period, Dr. Belanger was a Division I scholarship student/athlete for wrestling. After completing his undergraduate education, he accepted a graduate assistantship in strength and conditioning at Sacred Heart University where he graduated with his Masters of Science in Exercise Science and Nutrition in 2014. While completing his undergraduate and graduate degrees, Dr. Belanger was a sports performance specialist at several private training facilities as well as a college strength and conditioning coach. Dr. Belanger graduated from the University of Bridgeport, College of Chiropractic in 2018. During his studies, he completed a clinical rotation at the United States Department of Veteran Affairs in Newington, CT. During his time at the VA, he worked with United States military veterans and active duty soldiers and learned how to manage more complex conditions. Dr. Belanger collaborated with a team of physicians to provide the highest level of patient centered care. Dr. Belanger also completed a clinical rotation at the University of Bridgeport outpatient clinic where he provided patient centered care to a unique population of patients that range from student/athletes to different ethnicities and social statuses. Over the past several years, Dr. Belanger was a clinic director and lead Chiropractic Physician in the Providence, RI area. As a high volume practice, he had the opportunity to provide care for many patients. Many patients suffered from acute musculoskeletal conditions, disk herniations/ radiculopathies to chronic and systemic morbidities. He treated patients involved in motor vehicle collisions and personal injuries, veterans, high school, college and professional athletes, as well as pediatric and geriatric patients. Dr. Belanger is a Rhode Island native. Some of his hobbies include traveling with his wife, fishing, wrestling, strength training and hiking with his two Golden Retrievers. He enjoys reading the latest research on new therapies and techniques so he can continue to provide the highest quality of care possible to his patients.
